Understanding the Anunnaki: Benevolent Beings or Harbingers of Harm?

In a recent episode of “Disclosure Now,” a panel featuring Penny Bradley, Drago Reid, Amir Jahangiri, Brian Tseng, and Arkheim Ra delved into the enigmatic world of the Anunnaki and their connections to archangels. This discussion highlighted the complexities surrounding these ancient beings, their influence on humanity, and the ongoing debate about their true nature.

Who Are the Anunnaki?

The Anunnaki, often referred to as “sky gods,” are believed to have played a significant role in the history of humanity. The panelists emphasized that understanding the Anunnaki is crucial for grasping the true history of human origins and the events that have shaped our civilization. They pointed out that the Anunnaki are not a single species but rather an archetype that encompasses various beings with a shared legacy of advanced technology and knowledge.

The Connection to Archangels

A key point of discussion was the relationship between the Anunnaki and the archangels mentioned in biblical texts. The panelists argued that the archangels, such as Michael and Gabriel, are connected to the Anunnaki, suggesting a hierarchical structure where the Anunnaki represent a higher echelon of divine beings. This connection raises questions about the nature of these entities and their intentions toward humanity.

Benevolence vs. Malevolence

The panelists debated whether the Anunnaki are benevolent or harmful. Some members expressed skepticism about the portrayal of the Anunnaki as saviors, urging listeners to conduct their own research and not accept information blindly. They highlighted the importance of recognizing the duality of the Anunnaki—acknowledging that while some may have contributed positively to human development, others may have engaged in manipulative or harmful practices.

The Role of Spiritual Warfare

The conversation also touched on the concept of spiritual warfare, with panelists discussing how the Anunnaki’s influence persists in modern society. They emphasized the need for humanity to reclaim its power and identity, suggesting that awareness and understanding of these ancient beings can empower individuals to navigate the complexities of their existence.

A Call for Individual Research

Throughout the discussion, the panelists encouraged viewers to explore the history and mythology surrounding the Anunnaki independently. They stressed that while there is a wealth of information available, it is essential to approach it critically and thoughtfully. This call for personal exploration reflects a broader theme in the spiritual community: the importance of discernment in the quest for truth.

Conclusion

The exploration of the Anunnaki and their connections to archangels presents a fascinating intersection of history, spirituality, and personal empowerment. As humanity continues to seek understanding in an increasingly complex world, discussions like those on “Disclosure Now” serve as a reminder of the importance of questioning established narratives and pursuing knowledge with an open mind. Whether viewed as benevolent guides or complex figures with a more ambiguous agenda, the Anunnaki remain a compelling subject for those interested in the mysteries of our past and the potential of our future.

For those intrigued by these topics, further exploration and research are encouraged, as the journey toward understanding the Anunnaki is as significant as the knowledge itself.

The Push to Ban Stock Trading by Congress Members: A Heated Debate

The Push to Ban Stock Trading by Congress Members: A Heated Debate

In a recent Senate discussion, GOP senators passionately debated the controversial issue of banning stock trading by members of Congress. The conversation highlighted deep concerns about ethics, transparency, and the perception of Congress as a “rich man’s club.”

Senator Josh Hawley opened the dialogue with a firm commitment to banning stock trading among Congress members, emphasizing that it is a pressing issue that needs immediate attention. He pointed out that the American public is often shocked to learn that it is currently legal for lawmakers to trade stocks, a practice many believe should be prohibited. Hawley argued that members of Congress should focus on public service rather than personal financial gain, stating, “We should be here to focus on the public business, not private gain.”

The discussion quickly turned to the implications of such a ban. Some senators expressed concerns about the potential unfairness of requiring members to divest from their private businesses, particularly those with significant employee counts. Senator Mitt Romney raised questions about whether the proposed legislation would exempt private businesses, highlighting the need for clarity in the bill’s language. He argued that successful individuals with business experience should be allowed to bring their skills to Congress without facing undue restrictions.

The debate also touched on the issue of insider trading, which is already illegal. Senators acknowledged that while insider trading laws exist, the perception of Congress members profiting from privileged information remains a significant concern. Hawley pointed out that members often have access to information that, while not technically classified as insider information, can still provide them with an unfair advantage in the stock market.

As the discussion progressed, some senators voiced their support for the bill, recognizing its importance in addressing public concerns about corruption and ethical behavior in Congress. However, others cautioned against the potential consequences of the legislation, arguing that it could inadvertently discourage qualified individuals from running for office. They suggested that instead of a complete ban, a more nuanced approach could be taken, such as prohibiting trading while allowing members to hold onto their existing investments.

The conversation also highlighted the complexities of the proposed legislation, with senators expressing a desire for further amendments to ensure it addresses the concerns of all parties involved. The potential impact on spouses of Congress members, who may engage in stock trading, was also raised, indicating that the issue extends beyond just the lawmakers themselves.

In conclusion, the debate over banning stock trading by Congress members reflects broader concerns about ethics, transparency, and the integrity of public office. As the Senate moves forward with this legislation, it will be crucial to strike a balance that addresses public concerns while allowing qualified individuals to serve without unnecessary restrictions. The outcome of this discussion could significantly shape the future of congressional ethics and public trust in government.

70% of Biden admin’s education enforcement targeted Christian colleges: ‘Target their opponents’

A report showed that nearly 70% of enforcement actions executed by the Biden administration’s Education Department targeted faith-based and career schools.A report showed that nearly 70% of enforcement actions executed by the Biden administration’s Education Department targeted faith-based and career schools.

According to a press release published by the American Principles Project (APP), they drew on newly obtained data finding that nearly 70 percent of the Department of Education’s (ED) enforcement actions dealt with faith-based and career schools, even though those schools represent less than 10 percent of students in the US.

APP Policy Director Jon Schweppe said the Democrats have been “busy weaponizing every part of the federal government to target their opponents” for the past four years.

‘While major assaults from agencies like the Department of Justice have taken most of the headlines, we should not ignore similarly corrupt efforts in other agencies as well,” Schweppe said.

“As our report details, the Biden-Harris Department of Education has been engaged in a long-running scheme to punish Christian colleges that are ideologically opposed to the left’s agenda. The unfair targeting of these institutions has been egregious, and it needs to stop immediately.”
Students mingling on the campus lawn at Liberty University during homecoming weekend on October 20, 2018 in Lynchburg, Virginia. The APP notes that two of the nation’s most prominent Christian universities, Grand Canyon University and Liberty University, were subject to scrutiny by the ED. Both of these institutions faced record-level fines worth significantly more than “all penalties imposed over the past seven years combined,” including fines imposed on Penn State ($2.4 million) and Michigan State ($4.5 million) relating to Jerry Sandusky and Larry Nassar’s sexual crimes.

GCU currently faces a hurdle while appealing a $37.7 million fine imposed by the ED in November last year for allegations that the Arizona-based institution misled students about the cost of its doctoral programs over several years.

Furthermore, Department of Education Secretary Miguel Cardona in April vowed to shut down GCU during a House Appropriations Committee hearing about for-profit colleges.

The Biden administration official claimed that “predatory schools” are “preying on first generation students.”

The report from APP said further that at “least 12 Christian colleges have been the target of excessive penalties or banned from receiving federal student aid; by comparison, no Ivy League school has been the recipient of punitive action by the Office of Enforcement.”

“The average fine against a Christian school for a Clery Act violation was $815,000, compared to $228,571 against public and private institutions.”
U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona giving a speech at a podium on the South Lawn of the White House during the first-ever Back-to-School NightThe report comes after GCU recently scored a legal win over the ED regarding the Christian institution’s non-profit status. ED denied GCU’s nonprofit recognition after it was approved by the Arizona Board for Private Postsecondary Education, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the State of Arizona, and the Higher Learning Commission.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled unanimously that the ED unlawfully applied an incorrect standard to determine the university’s nonprofit status.

A department spokesperson sent a statement to Fox News Digital, saying that a “school’s religious affiliation or non-profit status has absolutely no bearing on our oversight and enforcement actions.”

“Our top priority is protecting safety and academic opportunity for all students at institutions of higher education. The data in the APP report itself pushes a false narrative by distorting information released publicly by the Department,” the spokesperson said.

Illegal immigrant charged with raping VA woman has disturbing criminal history dating back to 2017

0

The illegal migrant arrested on rape charges in Virginia last week has a lengthy rap sheet including nearly 30 run-ins with cops for sex crimes and assaults — but was repeatedly given slaps on the wrists instead of being booted out of the country, The Post has learned.

Denis Humberto Navarette Romero, 31, has been a menace since 2017, racking up 29 encounters with police ranging from small-time drug offenses to a disturbing progression of perverse crimes like indecent exposure, public nudity and masturbation and sexual assault, law enforcement sources said.

The Honduran migrant was arrested last week for allegedly raping a woman on a hiking trail just outside DC — just four days after he was released from jail for indecent exposure. In that case, he was released early after serving just half of his 50-day sentence due to “good behavior,” authorities said.

A man with long hair and beard, identified as Honduran migrant Denis Humberto Navarette Romero, who is charged with serious crimesIn his first known contact with law enforcement in 2017, a 14-year-old reported Navarette Romero fondled her and exposed himself to her nieces, who were 10 and 13 years old at the time — but the family declined to press charges and resisted authorities’ attempts to investigate it, police reports show.

In 2022, he went on a spree of perverse behavior in and around the National Mall in Washington, including telling cops he wanted to die via “suicide by cop,” entering a restricted area of the White House and skinny dipping in the water fountain at the National Museum of American Indian History, sources said.

In June of that year, he smacked a woman’s behind in a restaurant — then tried to choke a cop and hit another in the face, records show. He landed in jail for eight days, then went on yet another rampage involving simple assault, trespassing and smoking marijuana and drinking in public the following month.

Records show he served another six months in jail until January 2023 and was rearrested months later in June for allegedly drunkenly urinating on the World War II Memorial in DC.

Republican Governor Glenn Younkin of Virginia discussing the success of his state's school system at the 14th annual Texas Tribune Festival in Austin. He would go on to allegedly commit even more acts of indecent exposure and assault until he was finally charged with rape and abduction Nov. 14. That’s just four days after he was released early from prison, serving half a 50-day sentence for exposing himself to a woman walking her dog.An attorney for the Fairfax County Sheriff’s office told The Post that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is notified each time an illegal migrant is booked into their Adult Detention Center — four times in Navarette Romero’s case — but a warrant or detainer from the agency was never issued.

When contacted by The Post, ICE would not confirm or deny that account from the county sheriff’s office, nor whether they were aware of Navarette Romero’s illegal status.

Now Virginia officials, like Gov. Glenn Youngkin, are pointing the finger at ultra-liberal Fairfax County for being soft on migrant crime and refusing to cooperate with immigration authorities for even dangerous repeat offenders under its “Trust Policy” which effectively renders it a sanctuary county.

Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares speaking during an interview at his office in Richmond, Virginia in May 2023Youngkin (R-Va.) said the county has made law-abiding citizens less safe.“I am heartsick for this victim and outraged that local Fairfax County officials recklessly release violent illegal immigrants who should have been prosecuted and deported,” the Republican governor told The Post Sunday.

“This is a dereliction of their most basic duty to keep people safe. Prioritizing violent illegal immigrants over the safety of Fairfax residents is unacceptable.”

Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares blamed Fairfax County Commonwealth Attorney Steve Descano.

“Steve Descano owes his community both an apology and because of his continued missteps and failures, he owes them his resignation as well,” Miyares told The Post.

Descano prosecuted a case involving Navarette Romero in 2022, when he was charged with assaulting a Herndon police officer. Descano pleaded the charge down to a misdemeanor assault — without any input from Herndon police.

“This was a violent act of rape which was utterly preventable. Shame on those who chose expediency and politics over public safety and integrity. Fairfax County deserves to have prosecutors protecting their interests, not a gaggle of social workers covering for criminals,” Miyares added.

Descano’s spokesperson Laura Birnbaum stood by Descano’s handling of Navarette Romero’s case, telling The Post that “he was prosecuted, convicted of charges that reflect the facts of the case, and served his time.”

Police Chief Maggie Deboard in her uniformA spokesperson from ICE’s DC Enforcement and Removal Operations office said the agency had interviewed the accused rapist and issued a detainer — more than a week after the crime occurred.“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations interviewed Denis Humberto Navarrete-Romero, 31, an unlawfully present Honduran national, Nov. 26,” the office said Tuesday.

“On the same day, ICE ERO lodged an immigration detainer with Fairfax County Adult Detention Center in Fairfax, Virginia. Navarrete entered the United States on an unknown date at an unknown location and without admission by an immigration official,” the statement concluded.

Navarette Romero is being held in the Fairfax County Jail awaiting a hearing on March 5. His attorney Thomas F. Koerner declined The Post’s request for comment.

Sobbing 10-year-old found alone at US border on Thanksgiving after smugglers abandoned him

0

A 10-year-old boy was rescued by Texas State Troopers after he crossed the US border on Thanksgiving Day only to be abandoned by smugglers in a desolate stretch of territory.

The little boy, who came from El Salvador and was carrying only a cell phone, was alone and lost when he crossed into Maverick County, Texas.

He told state troopers through tears that he was hoping to find his parents, who came to the country earlier and trusted coyotes to deliver him to family in America, Texas Department of Public Safety Lieutenant Christopher Olivarez said in an X post sharing the video of the child.
The crying 10-year-old boy is seen walking to a state trooper while lost in the wilderness.
The tearful little boy speaks with a state trooper after crossing the border into Texas.

The area has been a hotspot for unaccompanied migrant kids.

Just a few days ago, Texas authorities found a 2-year-old girl from El Salvador who crossed with 60 other unaccompanied children. The video of a Texas trooper’s interview with the tot, who said her parents were also already in the US, went viral, sparking outrage over the border crisis.

“As many of us are celebrating Thanksgiving with our families & friends. Let’s not forget many children will not get to enjoy the holidays or see their families because they have been placed in a dire situation due to open border conditions, and many more who are trafficked across the southern border are exploited and exposed to a dangerous criminal environment during their journey to the US,” Olivarez said of the latest heartbreaking case.

Under the Biden administration, more than 529,000 migrant kids have entered the US, according to federal data.

shocking federal watchdog report released in August revealed that the federal government lost track of roughly 320,000 migrant kids who made the harrowing trek across the border without their parents.

Once in the US, Border Patrol agents place the children into the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the agency tasked with vetting their sponsors in the US.

Tara Lee Rodas, a whistleblower who worked under the HHS program, told The Post earlier this week that the federal agency merely makes a phone call to the child’s sponsor to verify they’re expecting the child.

“We’re picking up the phone. … We’re not seeing this person face to face,” she said of the alleged responsible caregiver on the other end.

We’re not doing DNA testing, and we’re turning small children over to someone in the US that the child gets a piece of paper and says, ‘This is where I’m going.’  I mean nobody’s questioning that,” Rodas said.

Some of those sponsors have turned out to be gang members and sex and labor traffickers, said Rodas.

This is such a stain on our nation,” she said.

Olivarez called the trend “concerning,” saying that state authorities “don’t know exactly what happens to them on their journey and where they ended up afterwards.”

Suspected Jordanian terrorist arrested for trying to cross US northern border: ICE

0

A Jordanian migrant was busted trying to illegally cross the northern border earlier this month — and the feds believe he’s a terrorist.

Mohammad Hasan Abdellatif Albana, 41, was booted from the US on Nov. 15 after Border Patrol agents caught him near the northern border in Lynden, Washington, where he was caught sneaking into the country, Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Wednesday.

It’s unclear when Albana sneaked in or where.

ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in Seattle Field Office Director Drew H. Bostock said the agency is “committed to the removal of noncitizens who pose a risk to the national security of the U.S.”

“Our officers perform these removals dutifully as a part of a federal law enforcement effort to protect Pacific Northwest Communities,” said Bostock.
A generic picture of a person in ankle shackles.

During the Biden administration, the number of terror-tied migrants caught by federal border authorities reached record levels.

Border Patrol agents caught 300 migrants whose names appear on the terror watchlist crossing both the southern and northern borders illegally during that time period, according to federal data.

Border agents arrested Palestinian Omar Shehada, 35, whose name was listed on the terror watchlist for using “explosives/arms” for an unnamed terror group, at the New Mexico border in August.

Just a month before, border agents near San Diego caught three Palestinian migrants and another from Turkey, all of whom they determined were terror suspects associated with an unnamed terrorist organization, according to a leaked memo previously obtained by The Post.

Border Patrol sources have told The Post that with overwhelming waves of illegal migrants and not enough time to vet them, they’ve knowingly released bad actors into the country.

Some, like the eight Tajik nationals nabbed in a multi-state sting earlier this year, have slipped through federal vetting procedures and been accidentally released into the US by federal authorities, who are still working to track down additional members of the group.

Sources said the group is suspected of having ties to ISIS and was said to have plans to attack LGBTQ people in Philadelphia.

Panthers are dying at an alarming rate in Florida — and you won’t believe what’s killing them

0

The number of endangered panthers slaughtered in Florida has more than doubled this year — putting it on track to be the bloodiest year for the big cats in a decade.

At least 30 panthers were killed so far in 2024 — almost all of which died at the hands of drivers.

The most recent victim was found dead on the side of the road Friday near Naples in rural Collier County. The 3.5-year-old male showed trauma indicative of a vehicular collision, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

The tragic death comes just five days after a female panther was killed by a car in Lee County.

Vehicular collisions are — and have been for years — the leading cause of death for panthers in Florida, the survey shows.

Trains and other predators were also causes of the panther’s deaths, and at least four were classified as “unknown.”

The shocking death toll is more than double the 13 dead panthers reported in 2023.
A panther looks off to the side of the camera.

The last time Florida reached such a high total was in 2018 and 2017, both years notched 30 recorded deaths.

If the deaths should surpass the 30 deaths, 2024 would be the bloodiest year for panthers since 2014, when at least 42 of the endangered species were found dead.

The rising death toll would be debilitating for the species, which is listed as critically endangered in the state — there are only about 200 wild Florida panthers, a subspecies of the mountain lion.

“The subspecies is so critically endangered that it is vulnerable to just about every major threat,” according to the National Wildlife Federation.

Habitat loss, vehicular collisions and pollution are major contributors to the animal’s struggling population.

Packers take advantage of frigid home-field elements in win against Dolphins

0

The Green Bay Packers used the elements to their advantage on Thursday against a team not as familiar with playing in the bitter cold.

The home team claimed a 30-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins to cap off the Thanksgiving tripleheader.

Simply put, the Packers were unbothered by the Frozen Tundra from the jump. They did go three-and-out on their first possession, but the punt was muffed and recovered by Green Bay inside the 10-yard line.

Packers defense

Three plays later, Jordan Love hit Jayden Reed for a touchdown. After a Miami punt, the Packers went 12 plays down the field, and Josh Jacobs finished the job.

The Dolphins made a field goal on their next drive, then both teams exchanged punts before Love and Reed connected for their second touchdown. Miami followed up by turning the ball over on downs and the Packers added a field goal to end the first half up 24-3.

Miami punted to begin the second half and Green Bay responded with a field goal. De’Von Achane scored on the Dolphins’ next drive, and a successful two-point conversion suddenly made it a two-possession game.

Packers receivers

After forcing a Green Bay punt, the Dolphins got all the way down to the opposing one, but were unable to score. The Packers then made it a three-possession game after kicking another field goal, effectively icing the ballgame – though Tyreek Hill did find the end zone late.

Love went 21-for-28 for 274 yards, with both of his touchdowns to Reed.

Tua Tagovailoa was 36-for-45 for 357 yards, at least doing his part in shutting up the narrative that he can’t play in the cold. Jonnu Smith led all receivers with 10 catches for 113 yards.

Tua sacked

Green Bay is now 9-3, yet remains in third place in the stacked NFC North. They will visit the 11-1 Detroit Lions next Thursday.

The Dolphins, now 5-7, will host the New York Jets on Dec. 8.

California woman dies from Fresno County’s first human case of rabies in more than 30 years

0

A California woman died of rabies after allegedly being bitten by a bat in her classroom, according to Fresno County health officials.

The woman, later identified as Leah Seneng, 60, marks the first human case of rabies in Fresno County since 1992.

“In general, rabies is a disease that affects the brain, and it is very rare. But when it develops, it can cause very serious consequences,” said Dr. Trnidad Solis, Fresno County Health Department’s deputy health officer. “It’s transmitted through saliva; it is not airborne.”

Leah Seneng

Seneng, who was an art teacher at Bryant Middle School in Dos Palos, was bitten by the bat when she was attempting to rescue it in her classroom, local outlet ABC30 reported.

She first came into contact with the bat in October, but did not display symptoms until approximately a month later, according to Fresno County health officials.  She was admitted to the hospital and died four days later.

Bryant Middle School

“The most frequent route of transmission is through the bite of an animal that has rabies. With rabies, unfortunately, there is no cure. So, when symptoms develop, there is no treatment, and often when it develops, it is often fatal. So we want the public to know that prevention is key to preventing rabies infection,” Solis said.

Fresno County officials do not believe there is a threat to public health at this time, but are working with the Merced County Health Department to identify any other possible exposures and administer vaccines.

Seneng’s coworkers have set up a GoFundMe account to assist her family during this time.

Texas could bus migrants directly to ICE for deportation instead of sanctuary cities under proposed plan

0

Texas could implement a plan to bus migrants directly to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in an effort to get them processed for deportation, according to media reports.

The move would be a departure from the state’s program, part of Operation Lone Star, that has bussed thousands of migrants to sanctuary cities, a source told the New York Post. It has yet to be approved by Gov. Greg Abbott.

Fox News Digital has reached out to Abbott’s office and ICE.

“We are always going to be involved in border security so long as we’re a border state,” a Texas government source told the newspaper. “We spent a lot of taxpayer money to have the level of deterrent that we have on the border, and we can’t just walk away.”

Migrants in Del Rio, Texas

Abbott has been especially aggressive in combating illegal immigration, bussing migrants to blue cities in an effort to bring attention to the border crisis. Under the proposed plan, buses chartered by Texas from border cities will be taken to federal detention centers to help ICE agents process migrants quickly, the Post reported.

Texas has been in a legal fight with the Biden administration over its efforts to curb illegal immigration. On Wednesday, an appeals court ruled that the state has the right to build a razor wire border wall to deter migrants.

Officials have also offered land to the incoming Trump administration to build deportation centers to hold illegal immigrant criminals.

“My office has identified several of our properties and is standing by ready to make this happen on Day One of the Trump presidency,” Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham said during a visit to the border Tuesday.

Authorities have also warned of unaccompanied migrant children being caught near the border. On Thursday, a 10-year-old boy from El Salvador told state troopers in Maverick County, Texas, that he had been lost and left behind by a human smuggler.

The boy was holding a cellphone and crying, Texas Department of Public Safety Lt. Chris Olivarez posted on X. The child said his parents were in the U.S.

On Sunday, troopers encountered an unaccompanied 2-year-old girl from El Salvador holding a piece of paper with a phone number and her name. She told authorities that her parents were also in the U.S.

That morning, state troopers also encountered a group of 211 illegal immigrants in Maverick County. Among the group were 60 unaccompanied children, ages 2 to 17, and six special interest immigrants from Mali and Angola

“Regardless of political views, it is unacceptable for any child to be exposed to dangerous criminal trafficking networks,” Olivarez wrote at the time. “With a record number of unaccompanied children and hundreds of thousands missing, there is no one ensuring the safety & security of these children except for the men & women who are on the frontlines daily.”

He noted that the “reality is that many children are exploited & trafficked, never to be heard from again.”

Car tied to wealthy NY couple missing for 44 years pulled from murky pond

0

A wealthy New York couple vanished without a trace in Georgia 44 years ago, but it appears it took a pair of volunteer divers just seven minutes to discover what are likely their car and remains submerged in a murky pond near a hotel they had been staying in.

Retired oil executive Charles Romer, 73, and his wife Catherine, 75, disappeared with their 1978 Lincoln in the spring of 1980. The Scarsdale, New York, couple were returning home from Miami Beach, Florida, and checked into a Holiday Inn in Brunswick.

Hotel employees were concerned that their bed had not been slept in and reported them missing. Fears were raised that the couple, known to carry expensive jewelry, had been victims of foul play and robbed.

Charles and Catherine Romer and divers removing their purported car

The hotel is situated next to a pond which, diver Mike Sullivan tells Fox News Digital, had been searched many times before, but terrible visibility had hitherto prevented searchers from making a breakthrough.

But the cold case suddenly heated up on Friday when Sullivan and his brother, John Martin, searched the pond in their tiny 6-foot-long boat and their specialized sonar equipment pinged a vehicle at the bottom of the pond.

Sullivan says he quickly dived to the bottom of the lake and pulled the nose from a 1978 Lincoln. He says human remains and a spate of jewelry were also found in the car.

“We got to the pond at about 10 a.m. in the morning and we found the car by 10:07 a.m., seven minutes later,” Sullivan says.

The pair, who operate Sunshine State Sonar, a Florida-based volunteer search and rescue organization, then called the police, who arrived on the scene.

The submerged Lincoln in 44 year cold case

The Glynn County Police Department and the Camden County Dive Team then tried to pull the Lincoln from the water and in doing so, spun the car around and ripped the axle off the car, video provided by Sullivan shows.

He says police then drained the pond to reveal the badly deteriorated car.

“The vehicle is similar to the description of a vehicle that Charles and Catherine Romer were believed to be driving when reported missing in April, 1980,” Glynn County Police Department said in a statement. “At this time there is no conclusion about the identity of the remains that were found.”

Police did not say what happened to the car or the people found inside.

Pieces of what are believed to be Charles and Catherine Romer's car

Sullivan is convinced the remains are those of the couple and believes that they may have inadvertently reversed into the pond while trying to park and drowned in a tragic accident.

Sullivan says that the couple’s Lincoln was custom-made and the back seat of the car they discovered had their initials “C.R.R” embroidered.

The Romer’s checked into the Holiday Inn along Interstate 95 and U.S. 341 just before 4 p.m. on April 8, 1980, and took their belongings to their room. At around 5 p.m., a Georgia Highway Patrol officer saw the couple’s car south of Brunswick near some restaurants and neither the Romer’s nor their car was seen again.

It looks as if they were parking at the diner and he accidentally stepped on the gas pedal when he was parking and they backed into the lake,” Sullivan says. “He must have had the car in reverse, and he stepped on the gas because the headlights are facing the shore. He backed into the lake accidentally.”

Sullivan says police found diamonds worth tens of thousands of dollars wrapped in the carpet of the trunk.

We also found a diamond ring, necklace, a gold purse, a gold diamond purse. We also found stuff with their initials on it and stuff,” he says.

The closeness of the pond to the hotel and the length of time it has taken to make a breakthrough in the case has raised questions as to why a discovery was not made earlier.

The pond has been checked many, many times throughout the years because it was literally a hundred yards from their hotel room. The problem is the sonar technology was not available back in 1980,” Sullivan says.

“Divers would go in the pond and swim around and feel for the car but with zero visibility it is very difficult to find a car doing that. Sometimes you get lucky, it’s very difficult. But they tried, you know, they probably came within feet of the car but just didn’t find it.”

Sullivan says they were initially called to the scene about a tip about a Ford sedan which had reportedly gone into the water. He says no bodies were found near that vehicle.

He says that the work of Sunshine State Sonar is done for free.

“Nobody hires us. We work with law enforcement agencies on cold cases and we take these cases on for free, pro bono,” Sullivan says. “We specialize in underwater sonar and we are also a dive team.”

Sunshine State Sonar divers in the water

“We have a database of all cases of people missing with their vehicles. These are specific types of missing persons cases where the victim’s vehicle has never been recovered. And so what we do is we go to the area of their last known whereabouts and we search all the water where these people were last known to be.”

“And the reason we were at that pond is because that is the pond in front of the hotel that they were staying at.”

Mark Zuckerberg dines with Trump at Mar-a-Lago after pushing for meeting to discuss new administration: ‘Grateful for the invitation’

0

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg dined with Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago — after reportedly requesting the meeting with the president-elect to discuss “the incoming administration” Wednesday.

“It’s an important time for the future of American Innovation. Mark was grateful for the invitation to join President Trump for dinner and the opportunity to meet with members of his team about the incoming Administration,” a Meta spokesperson said in a statement provided to The Post.

The Trump-Vance transition team did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

Stephen Miller, the incoming White House deputy chief of staff for policy, confirmed that Zuckerberg met with the president-elect during an appearance on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle.”
Trump

“Mark Zuckerberg has been very clear about his desire to be a supporter of and a partnership in this change that we’re seeing all around America, all around the world, with this reform movement that Donald Trump is leading,” Miller said.

“Mark Zuckerberg, like so many business leaders, understands that President Trump is an agent of change, an agent of prosperity,” he added.

“And so business leaders, CEOs everywhere, they want to be an element, a supporter, a booster of making our economy prosperous, delivering for American workers and making sure that America is the most powerful, wealthiest, freest nation on the face of the Earth.”

Miller noted that Zuckerberg, 40, “has his own interests and he has his own company and he has his own agenda” — but has “made clear that he wants to support the national renewal of America under President Trump’s leadership.”

The Mar-a-Lago meeting was reportedly initiated by Zuckerberg, according to the New York Times

The president-elect and Facebook creator “largely exchanged pleasantries” during their meeting and Zuckerberg congratulated Trump on his Election Day victory, the outlet reported.

Earlier this year, Trump, 78, described Facebook as “a true Enemy of the People,” claiming that Zuckerberg’s company “cheated in the last Election.”
Mark Zuckerberg

The 45th president leveled the accusation in a March Truth Social post in which he argued that banning TikTok, a social media platform owned by the Chinese parent company, would benefit Zuckerberg.

“If you get rid of TikTok, Facebook and Zuckerschmuck will double their business,” Trump wrote, referring to Meta founder and CEO.

“I don’t want Facebook, who cheated in the last Election, doing better. They are a true Enemy of the People!” he added.

Trump appeared to be referring to the $400 million-plus Zuckerberg spent in the 2020 cycle to help finance local elections.

The so-called “Zuckerbucks” initiative was roundly criticized by Republicans as an attempt to influence the 2020 vote.

The Meta CEO pledged in an August letter to the House Judiciary Committee that while his motives were “nonpartisan” he wouldn’t be making a similar contribution in 2024.

In July, Meta rolled back restrictions on Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts put in place after the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol Building

Trump, who has a combined total of nearly 54 million followers on both Facebook and Instagram, was suspended from the platforms the day after the riot.

His account privileges were restored in February 2023 after a two-year ban, but some restrictions remained, which were lifted to bring him to parity with President Biden – who was still in the race at the time – in the final months of the 2024 campaign.

Truth, freedom, common sense: What I’m thankful for this Thanksgiving Day as a Russian immigrant to the US

0

On this Thanksgiving Day and holiday season, I’m thankful that in the 2024 election, my fellow Americans have chosen truth over lies, freedom over government control, and common sense over nonsense. Americans have chosen to make my adopted homeland great again. I’m so proud that we will be restoring America to be normal again, the way she was when I arrived 35 years ago, having left behind my country of birth, Soviet Russia.

For the past few years, however, I felt that I was back in the USSR, where the government apparatchiks and the elites controlled everything. The state was in charge of every aspect of your life. While we were afraid to speak our minds and demand freedom.

Over the last several years, America had become a country of censorship, a country where the ruling class has been treating working people as second-class citizens, calling them names; a country with two separate justice systems – one for the governing and a different one for the governed.

Soviet Union and USA flags

Today, I’m grateful that my fellow Americans have decided that enough is enough. They voted, overwhelmingly, for the kind of America that my mother dreamed of me living in. Here’s what Americans have chosen:

Truth

Growing up, my mother would always tell my sister and me. “Do not believe what TV, radio, or newspapers, or your teachers are telling you. Ask your parents if things seem confusing.” Confusing things were indeed. As a teenager, you started noticing that things weren’t exactly as the party leaders and media presented them to be.

The teachers told you that socialism was the best system in the world because everything is free, enabling you to thrive. But you went to a grocery store and saw mostly empty shelves, sparsely populated with dried out sausages, stale bread, wilting potatoes and sour milk. Free visits to the dentist – you only went when you couldn’t tolerate the toothache anymore – meant that your teeth were drilled without Novocain. Talk about torture. The doctor strapped you in so you didn’t kick him while you were in severe pain.

white house night

During the Biden-Harris presidency we heard again and again that “the border is secure.” But going outside in New York City, you no longer felt safe walking alone, even in midtown Manhattan.

Freedom

Many of my friends and family members have been strong supporters of President-elect Trump. But they’ve been hiding it for the fear of jeopardizing their careers and ruining their professional relationships and friendships. They’ve quietly tolerated being called deplorables, garbage and other horrible things. My friends come from different backgrounds – lawyers, doctors, executives, law enforcement officers, entrepreneurs and other regular hard-working, honorable Americans. Native-born Americans or immigrants.

Many people across America were afraid to wear a red cap with the simple inscription “Make America Great Again” for the fear of being insulted or even assaulted. I couldn’t believe that for 35 years I would be repeating to my own American-born children my mother’s admonitions “Do not share your political views and your family’s dinner conversations except with your closest friends and like-minded family members.” “Do not wear your read hat to your ballet studio.”

Those days are over.

Trump victory speech

Common Sense

I’m glad to see that President-elect Trump plans to disband the Department of Education and cut federal funding for schools teaching the destructive critical race theory and prohibit biological men from participating in women’s sports. No more men in women’s clothes insisting on using women’s bathrooms. No more William Thomas (aka Lia) winning medals from Riley Gaines in the swimming championships. No more insanity.

The renowned Russian author and historian, Nobel Prize winner Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn, who served an eight-year sentence in a forced-labor camp for writing a letter in which he criticized Josef Stalin, wrote this about the Soviet regime. “We know that they are lying, they know that they are lying, they even know that we know they are lying, we also know that they know we know they are lying too, they of course know that we certainly know they know we are lying too as well, but they are still lying.”

Thanksgiving Department of Defense diversity equity inclusion

The powers that be knew they were telling us lies. How else would you explain that they did a 180 on their absurd policies? Trump is not back in the White House yet and Walmart, Ford, John Deere, Toyota and other major companies are already ditching their woke DEI initiatives.

No, we will not be forced to buy electric cars if we can’t afford them. Yes, we will continue to use our gas stoves to cook our meals. And yes, we will proudly wear our hats – red, white, blue or any other color, if we choose to.

“The simple act of an ordinary brave man is not to participate in lies, not to support false actions!” Solzhenitsyn, one of the bravest men, said.

Americans have refused to participate in falsehoods. And this is what I’m thankful for this holiday season.

This Thanksgiving, there will be an empty chair at our table. Here’s what fills my heart

0

Late November through the end of December is my favorite time of the year. A season where the problems of today and the uncertainties of the future seem to temporarily fade. Frank Sinatra’s classic holiday song, “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” has a verse that says, “From now on our troubles will be far away.” I have always loved this line and somehow in my naivety, I find myself clinging to this unrealistic hope during the holidays even though I know it’s not possible – at least on this side of life.

This year has been a reminder of this truth as it is the first Thanksgiving where a chair at our holiday table will be empty.

I first became aware something was wrong with my dad six years ago when I took my parents out to dinner. In the car together, we collectively decided we would go for hamburgers, but when we arrived at the restaurant, my dad insisted we were at a barbecue place. He then placed the wrong order multiple times.

Soon incidents like this one became more and more common as my father’s memory evaporated due to a severe form of dementia or Alzheimer’s. It was not uncommon for him to experience hallucinations, be uncharacteristically cantankerous and even exhibit strange behavior such as sneaking out of the house in the middle of the Texas summer in his pajamas with no shoes on.

Dad eventually came to the place where he had no quality of life, and I secretly prayed for God to take him. He lived a mere existence of eating, sleeping and sitting in a chair while staring off into space. Physically he was unstable, and my youngest son and I regularly were called by Mom to come home to pick him up off the floor after a fall.

Dad’s memory is like ‘home’– a place that is like no other. A place I always return.

Three days before he went into hospice, I did something I had not done since I was a child. I went to his house after lunch and lay next to him in his bed for nearly two hours. I reminded him of things in the past while constantly asking him if he remembered certain memories that stood out to me. I brought up both the joyous times, such as hunting and fishing trips, and painful memories, including the time a tornado destroyed our home. He did not remember the more recent occurrences but there were undoubtedly a few in the distant past that he could recall.

Jay Lowder and dad

I had no idea at that moment that it would be the last conversation I would ever have with my father in this life. Even though my dad lived another 10 days, he never spoke to me again.

Now, Thanksgiving has arrived and we will come together on this holiday for the first time without Dad. We will feel the sting of a departed loved one, a great loss.

Perhaps you are facing a similar scenario this year with an empty chair at the holiday table. Amid the feasting and fellowship and maybe even the tears, it is the perfect time to remember, to cherish and to honor your loved one’s legacy. A time to focus on treasured memories, look through past photos and reminisce about better days.

My Dad’s presence was the essence of Thanksgiving because he lived his life in a spirit of gratitude, never complaining and always optimistic. The thought that one day he would not be sitting at the head of the Thanksgiving table was something I never imagined all those years we celebrated. The idea of our cornerstone being absent for the holidays, of his seat remaining empty, was unthinkable.

Jay Lowder and his father

I am grateful that though Dad will be missing this year, his impact on my life will never be gone. Dad was always the rock; when life brought the inevitable hurricanes, he was the eye of the storm where everything stayed calm…secure. I always believed Dad was somewhat invincible. Even in his 70s, Dad could outwork most men half his age. Nothing ever really jolted him off the center line. Faithful to Mom…check. Committed to family…check. Unwavering in conviction… double check. Steady in his faith in Christ…double check.

Dad’s memory is like “home”– a place that is like no other; a place I always return.

Although my Dad’s chair will be empty this Thanksgiving, I have comfort knowing that he is not gone. My dad has only changed his address, and someday we will reunite there. Yes, the chair will be vacant, but hope is not and for that I celebrate this Thanksgiving.

Kamala is Looking BAD Post-Trump Win! Is She OK?!

Kamala Harris: A Post-Election Analysis
As we approach the holiday season, the political landscape continues to shift dramatically, particularly in the wake of the recent election results. Kamala Harris, the Vice President, has come under scrutiny, with many questioning her well-being and the effectiveness of her campaign. In a recent episode of The Chad Prather Show, Chad Prather humorously critiqued Harris’s appearance and behavior, suggesting that she seems unwell after the election. This commentary has sparked conversations about the integrity of her campaign and the Biden administration’s announcements.

The State of Kamala Harris
The commentary surrounding Harris has been less than flattering. Observers noted that she returned from a lavish vacation in Hawaii, reportedly staying in a $7 million home, which raises eyebrows about the disconnect between public servants and the average American experience. Critics argue that such extravagance is unbecoming for someone in her position, especially when many citizens are struggling with economic challenges.

Prather pointed out that Harris’s recent public appearances have not been her best, suggesting that she appears to have aged significantly and lacks the vitality expected from a leader. This has led to speculation about her mental and physical health, with some even jokingly suggesting she might be inebriated during her speeches.

Biden’s Leadership and Campaign Dishonesty
The conversation also touched on President Biden’s leadership style, particularly his recent announcements that seem disconnected from reality. Critics argue that Biden’s statements often lack substance and that he may not fully grasp the implications of his words. This has led to a broader discussion about the Biden administration’s transparency and the perceived dishonesty of Harris’s campaign leading up to the election.

Political Dynamics and Future Implications
As the political climate evolves, the implications of Harris’s campaign strategies and Biden’s leadership will be crucial in shaping the future of the Democratic Party. Prather emphasized that internal polling within Harris’s campaign indicated a lack of confidence in their chances against Donald Trump, suggesting they were aware of their impending defeat but continued to project optimism to the public.

The discussion also highlighted the potential consequences of a Harris presidency, with fears that her leadership could lead to further division and chaos in the country. Prather expressed relief that Trump is back in the political arena, suggesting that his leadership style may offer a more stable alternative to the current administration.

Conclusion
As we reflect on the recent election and its aftermath, it’s clear that the political landscape is fraught with challenges. Kamala Harris’s campaign has faced significant criticism, and the Biden administration’s approach to leadership continues to be questioned. As we move forward, the effectiveness of these leaders will be tested, and the American public will be watching closely to see how they navigate the complexities of governance in these turbulent times.

In the spirit of the season, let’s remain engaged and informed as we approach the new year, ready to hold our leaders accountable and advocate for the changes we wish to see in our government.

Embracing Gratitude and New Beginnings: A Thanksgiving Message from disGRUNTled

0

As we gather around the table this Thanksgiving, it’s a time to reflect on what we are grateful for and to look ahead to the future. In a recent episode of the disGRUNTled podcast, the hosts took a moment to share their thoughts on gratitude, community, and the exciting initiatives planned for 2025.

Thanksgiving Reflections

The hosts kicked off the episode by wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, emphasizing the importance of family traditions. One host shared that he would be enjoying a holiday meal prepared by his mother, a sentiment many can relate to, especially those from the Midwest where family gatherings are cherished.

As they transitioned into a deeper conversation, they encouraged listeners to take time during the holiday season to reflect on their blessings. They acknowledged that amidst the hustle and bustle of life, it’s easy to overlook the things we are thankful for. This year, the hosts expressed gratitude for their friendship and the opportunity to reach a wider audience through their podcast.

Looking Ahead to 2025: The Launch of “Vet Tainment”

One of the most exciting announcements from the episode was the introduction of “vet tainment,” a new initiative aimed at positively impacting the lives of veterans and their communities. The hosts discussed the challenges they have faced in getting this project off the ground, including navigating studio space and government regulations. Despite these hurdles, they remain committed to their mission.

“Vet tainment” will focus on storytelling, allowing veterans to share their experiences—both heroic and everyday. The hosts believe that these narratives can foster understanding between veterans and civilians, bridging the gap that often exists. They plan to feature professionals from various fields, including healthcare and finance, to provide valuable insights and support to veterans navigating their post-service lives.

Creating a Community of Support

The conversation also touched on the importance of community, particularly for veterans who may feel isolated. The hosts highlighted the need for spaces where veterans can share their stories and connect with others who understand their experiences. They aim to create a platform that not only addresses the challenges veterans face but also celebrates their resilience and contributions.

As they wrapped up the episode, the hosts expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to create this platform and their excitement for what lies ahead. They encouraged listeners to reach out to family and friends during the holiday season, reminding everyone that connection is vital, especially during challenging times.

Conclusion

This Thanksgiving, let us take a moment to reflect on our blessings and the communities we are part of. The disGRUNTled podcast is not just a show; it’s a movement towards understanding and supporting our veterans. As we look forward to 2025, let’s embrace the spirit of gratitude and the promise of new beginnings. Happy Thanksgiving!

Appeals court rules Texas has right to build razor wire border wall to deter illegal immigration: ‘Huge win’

0

A federal appeals court on Wednesday ruled that Texas has the right to build a razor wire border wall to deter illegal immigration into the Lone Star State.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced the ruling on X, saying President Biden was “wrong to cut our razor wire.”

“We continue adding more razor wire border barrier,” the Republican leader wrote.

Wednesday’s 2-1 decision by the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals clears the way for Texas to pursue a lawsuit accusing the Biden administration of trespassing without having to remove the fencing.

It also reversed a federal judge’s November 2023 refusal to grant a preliminary injunction to Texas as the state resisted federal efforts to remove fencing along the Rio Grande in the vicinity of Eagle Pass, Texas.

Texas border razor wire

Circuit Judge Kyle Duncan, a Trump appointee during the president-elect’s first term, wrote for Wednesday’s majority that Texas was trying only to safeguard its own property, not “regulate” U.S. Border Patrol, and was likely to succeed in its trespass claims.

Duncan said the federal government waived its sovereign immunity and rejected its concerns that a ruling by Texas would impede the enforcement of immigration law and undermine the government’s relationship with Mexico.

TEXAS BORDER RAZOR WIRE

He said the public interest “supports clear protections for property rights from government intrusion and control” and ensuring that federal immigration law enforcement does not “unnecessarily intrude into the rights of countless property owners.”

Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton called the ruling a “huge win for Texas.”

“The Biden Administration has been enjoined from damaging, destroying, or otherwise interfering with Texas’s border fencing,” Paxton wrote in a post on X. “We sued immediately when the federal government was observed destroying fences to let illegal aliens enter, and we’ve fought every step of the way for Texas sovereignty and security.”

Texas border

The White House has been locked in legal battles with Texas and other states that have tried to deter illegal immigration.

In May, the full 5th Circuit heard arguments in a separate case between Texas and the White House over whether the state can keep a 1,000-foot floating barrier on the Rio Grande.

The appeals court is also reviewing a judge’s order blocking a Texas law that would allow state officials to arrest, prosecute and order the removal of people in the country illegally.

Trump says Mexico will stop flow of migrants after speaking with Mexican president following tariff threats

0

President-elect Trump said he spoke with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, saying she has agreed to “stop Migration through Mexico, and into the United States” following threats this week to significantly tariff goods from coming into the U.S. from its southern neighbor.

Trump vowed to impose 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada if both nations failed to do more to stop the flow of illegal immigrants and drugs into the U.S. Sheinbaum, who recently took office, said on Wednesday that Mexico would retaliate if Trump followed through on his promise.

Trump and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo

“If there are U.S. tariffs, Mexico would also raise tariffs,” she said during a press conference.

On Wednesday, Trump said he spoke with his Sheinbaum about the matter.

“Just had a wonderful conversation with the new President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo,” he wrote on Truth Social. “She has agreed to stop Migration through Mexico, and into the United States, effectively closing our Southern Border. We also talked about what can be done to stop the massive drug inflow into the United States, and also, U.S. consumption of these drugs. It was a very productive conversation!”

Presidential candidate Claudia Sheinbaum

In a subsequent post, he said that: “Mexico will stop people from going to our Southern Border, effective immediately. THIS WILL GO A LONG WAY TOWARD STOPPING THE ILLEGAL INVASION OF THE USA. Thank you!!!”

In a post on X, Sheinbaum said she spoke with Trump by phone and that the two discussed “strengthening collaboration on security issues” and that the conversation was “excellent,” Reuters reported.

Trump has long complained that Mexico has failed to do enough to stop the flow of migrants and illicit drugs on its side of the southern border.

In a post on X, Sheinbaum said she explained the “comprehensive strategy” Mexico has employed to address the “the migration phenomenon, respecting human rights.”

“Thanks to this, migrants and caravans are assisted before they reach the border,” she wrote. “We reiterate that Mexico’s position is not to close borders but to build bridges between governments and between peoples.”

Trump also threatened to impose an additional 10% tariff on China over the massive amounts of fentanyl coming into the U.S. from Mexico.

U.S. officials have frequently said that illicit fentanyl is manufactured in Mexico using Chinese precursors and then smuggled across the border by drug cartels.

Fentanyl, a synthetic opioid that is up to 50 times stronger than heroin and can be fatal in small doses, has claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of Americans and is a factor in many drug overdose deaths.

On Wednesday, Trump said he would be working on a large-scale ad campaign explaining the dangers of fentanyl.

“Millions of lives being so needlessly destroyed. By the time the Campaign is over, everyone will know how really bad the horror of this Drug is,” he said.

In response to the threat of more tariffs, the China Daily newspaper – which is run by the Chinese Communist Party – published an editorial Tuesday saying, “The excuse the president-elect has given to justify his threat of additional tariffs on imports from China is far-fetched,” according to Reuters.

Homan taking death threats against him ‘more seriously’ after Trump officials targeted with violent threats

0

Incoming Trump border czar Tom Homan reacted to news of death threats against Trump nominees on Wednesday and said he now takes the death threats he has previously received seriously.

“I have not taken this serious up to this point,” Homan told Fox News anchor Gillian Turner on “The Story” on Wednesday, referring to previous death threats made against him and his family.

“Now that I know what’s happened in the last 24 hours. I will take it a little more serious. But look, I’ve been dealing with this. When I was the ICE director in the first administration, I had numerous death threats. I had a security detail with me all the time. Even after I retired, death threats continued and even after I retired as the ICE director. I had U.S. marshals protection for a long time to protect me and my family.”

Homan explained that what “doesn’t help” the situation is the “negative press” around Trump.

President-elect Trump, left, and Tom Homan.

“I’m not in the Cabinet, but, you know, I’ve read numerous hit pieces. I mean, you know, I’m a racist and, you know, I’m the father of family separation, all this other stuff. So the hate media doesn’t help at all because there are some nuts out there. They’ll take advantage. So that doesn’t help,” he said.

Homan’s comments come shortly after Fox News Digital first reported that nearly a dozen of President-elect Trump’s Cabinet nominees and other appointees tapped for the incoming administration were targeted Tuesday night with “violent, unAmerican threats to their lives and those who live with them,” prompting a “swift” law enforcement response.

Donald Trump in a blue suit and red tie pumps his fist in the air and looks up

The “attacks ranged from bomb threats to ‘swatting,’” according to Trump-Vance transition spokeswoman and incoming White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

“Last night and this morning, several of President Trump’s Cabinet nominees and administration appointees were targeted in violent, unAmerican threats to their lives and those who live with them,” she told Fox News Digital on Wednesday. “In response, law enforcement acted quickly to ensure the safety of those who were targeted. President Trump and the entire Transition team are grateful for their swift action.”

Sources told Fox News Digital that John Ratcliffe, the nominee to be CIA director; Pete Hegseth, the nominee for secretary of defense; and Rep. Elise Stefanik, the nominee for U.N. ambassador, were among those targeted. Brooke Rollins, who Trump has tapped to be secretary of agriculture, and Lee Zeldin, Trump’s nominee to be EPA administrator, separately revealed they were also targeted.

Threats were also made against Trump’s labor secretary nominee, GOP Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer, and the family of former Trump attorney general nominee Matt Gaetz.

Trump holds fist

Homan told Fox News that he is “not going to be intimidated by these people” and “I’m not going to let them silence me.”

“What I’ve learned today I’ll start taking a little more serious.”

Homan added that he believes “we need to have a strong response once we find out who is behind all this.”

“It’s illegal to threaten someone’s life. And we need to follow through with that,” he said.

The threats on Tuesday night came mere months after Trump survived two assassination attempts.

Ohio governor signs ‘bathroom bill’ into law, restricting students from using opposite-sex restrooms

0

Republican Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has signed a bill into law that will prevent schools from allowing students of the opposite sex into restrooms and locker rooms.

The legislation, the Protect All Students Act, dubbed the “bathroom bill,” was sent to DeWine’s desk earlier this month after the state Senate passed the bill 24-7 on a party-line vote. The House version of the bill was passed before the chamber went on summer break in June.

The law will take effect in 90 days and will restrict transgender students from using facilities associated with their gender identities.

Republican Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has signed a bill into law that will prevent schools from allowing students of the opposite sex into restrooms and locker rooms.

It applies to public K-12 schools and institutions of higher education. It requires schools to designate separate bathrooms, locker rooms and overnight accommodations “for the exclusive use” of either males and females, based on one’s gender assigned at or near birth, in both school buildings and facilities used for a school-sponsored event.

DeWine’s signature was not guaranteed and Democrats, teachers unions and civil rights groups had hoped that his veto earlier this year to a ban on sex changes for minors and hormone therapies for transgender individuals under 18 would yield a similar course of action. In the end, the state’s Republican-dominated Senate voted to override that veto and the ban came into force.

DeWine did not release a statement announcing he signed the bathroom bill on Wednesday.

“Common sense is on a winning streak in America today,” said Aaron Baer, president of the Center for Christian Virtue, which backed the bill, in a statement.

“No student should be forced to go into the bathroom or locker room with a student of the opposite sex, and Ohio’s kids are better protected now because of Governor DeWine’s decision to sign this bill.”

Riley Gaines, a former 12-time All-American swimmer at the University of Kentucky and an advocate of keeping biological males out of female sports, echoed those words.

Public bathroom

“Common sense is making a comeback nationwide,” Gaines wrote on X.

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost thanked DeWine “for siding with biology, history, safety and common sense.”

The ACLU of Ohio was among the groups that had lobbied for a veto and condemned the measure as a violation of the right of privacy of transgender Ohioans that would make them less safe.

“We will always have the backs of our trans community,” the organization wrote on X. “Every Ohioan deserves the freedom to be loved, to be safe, to be trusted with decisions about healthcare and to access the facilities that align with their gender identity. We will not leave anyone behind. Trans Ohioans belong.”

School employees, emergency situations and people assisting young children or someone with a disability are exempted from the restrictions, and schools can still offer single-use or family bathrooms.

Various battles regarding the issue of transgender people using bathrooms that align with their gender as well as participating in female sports are playing out across the nation. President-elect Trump has repeatedly vowed to keep men out of women’s sports.

At least 11 states have adopted laws barring transgender girls and women from girls’ and women’s bathrooms in public schools and, in some cases, other government facilities.

The laws are in effect in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Utah. A judge’s order putting enforcement on hold is in place in Idaho.

RNC rails against California’s late mail-in ballot counting amid national litigation: ‘It is absurd’

0

The Republican National Committee (RNC) said it has filed national lawsuits to stop several states from counting mail-in-ballots after Election Day, as California has taken nearly a month to certify some races.

“It is absurd for California to accept ballots by mail up to 7 days after Election Day and take almost a month to count them,” RNC Chairman Michael Whatley wrote on X.

Whatley said the RNC, alongside the California Republican Party, “will continue to fight aggressively to force all states to stop accepting ballots after Election Day.”

Republicans on the ground in California are working with attorneys and observers “throughout the process of voting, curing, and counting,” he added. The RNC has also partnered with the National Republican Congressional Committee and Elon Musk’s PAC to launch a new statewide ballot curing operation.

“The RNC, NRCC, and CAGOP’s election integrity operation was on the ground in California before Election Day, on Election Day, and has continued working ever since November 5th. Our attorneys and trained volunteers are in place to ensure transparency throughout the election process,” Gates McGavick, senior adviser to Whatley, told Fox News Digital in a statement.

Voters in Calif

California’s vote-counting process has been prolonged due to the high volume of mail-in-ballots, with a majority of Californians opting to vote by mail. In the state’s 2022 election, nearly 90% of votes were cast via mail-in ballots.

State law also permits mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day to be counted if they arrive up to a week later. Mail-in ballots are typically put through a verification process that can also lengthen the amount of time they are tallied. The election certification deadline is Dec. 16.

As of Wednesday, several races remain undecided in the Golden State, including for the 13th Congressional District, where Republican Rep. John Duarte is being challenged by Democrat Adam Gray.

“Every vote in every state matters, and the RNC will work with our state parties and candidates to ensure Election Integrity across the country,” Whatley said. “It is clear that we need real election reforms to Protect the Vote in California.”

Liberal Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed several laws during his term to expand mail-in voting. In 2021, Newsom signed AB 37, making California one of the first states to require that all active registered voters automatically receive absentee ballots, codifying a temporary COVID-era emergency measure passed in 2020. Two laws signed in 2023, AB 626 and AB 545, require a curbside voting option at all polling places and permit voters to drop off their mail-in ballots at polling stations to have them counted immediately.

California is one of 14 states where voters are not required to show voter ID at polling stations. In March, officials in Huntington Beach — a conservative hotspot on the southern coastal line — passed a local measure requiring voter ID to vote in elections, which Newsom quickly bucked through state legislation in September that prohibited local governments from enforcing laws that require voter ID.

“The right to freely cast your vote is the foundation of our democracy and Huntington Beach’s voter ID policy flies in the face of this principle,” state Attorney General Bob Bonta said in a statement at the time.

Republican criticism of extended vote-counting periods has intensified this election cycle, including in Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Prior to Sen. Bob Casey’s concession last week in Pennsylvania’s Senate race to his Republican opponent, Dave McCormick, national and state Republican parties went to court arguing counties should not count mail-in-ballots where the voter either didn’t write a date on the return envelope or wrote the wrong one, The Associated Press reported.

President-elect Trump has also taken notice of California’s voter ID laws, writing on his Truth Social account he would demand proof of citizenship and voter ID in elections. Meanwhile, Newsom is gearing up to “Trump-proof” the state and has called an emergency special legislative session on Dec. 2.

“California is ready to fight,” Newsom wrote on X after the election. “Whether it be our fundamental civil rights, reproductive freedom, or climate action – we refuse to turn back the clock and allow our values and laws to be attacked.”

Trump Cabinet nominees, appointees targeted with ‘violent, unAmerican threats’

EXCLUSIVE: Nearly a dozen of President-elect Trump’s Cabinet nominees and other appointees tapped for the incoming administration were targeted Tuesday night with “violent, unAmerican threats to their lives and those who live with them,” prompting a “swift” law enforcement response, Fox News Digital has learned.

The “attacks ranged from bomb threats to ‘swatting,’” according to Trump-Vance transition spokeswoman and incoming White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt. One of the officials issued a statement describing his incident as having involved a “pipe bomb threat” with “a pro-Palestinian themed message.”

Sources told Fox News Digital that John Ratcliffe, the nominee to be CIA director; Pete Hegseth, the nominee for secretary of defense; and Rep. Elise Stefanik, the nominee for UN ambassador, were among those targeted. Brooke Rollins, who Trump has tapped to be secretary of agriculture, and Lee Zeldin, Trump’s nominee to be EPA administrator, separately revealed they were also targeted.

Local law enforcement officials responded to the threats and visited the homes of several nominees and appointees, Fox News Digital has learned. New York State Police said in a statement that members and K9 units “trained in explosives detection swept” Stefanik’s home in Saratoga “and did not locate any explosive devices.”

The FBI also issued a statement on Wednesday noting the bureau was “aware” of the spate of incidents.

“The FBI is aware of numerous bomb threats and swatting incidents targeting incoming administration nominees and appointees, and we are working with our law enforcement partners,” it said. “We take all potential threats seriously and, as always, encourage members of the public to immediately report anything they consider suspicious to law enforcement.”

Leavitt said Trump and the transition team “are focused on doing the work of uniting our nation by ensuring a safe and prosperous future.”

“With President Trump as our example, dangerous acts of intimidation and violence will not deter us,” she said.

Zeldin was among several officials who posted on social media or released statements about being targeted. He also revealed details about his particular incident.

“A pipe bomb threat targeting me and my family at my home today was sent in with a pro-Palestinian themed message,” the Zeldin statement read. “My family and I were not home at the time and are safe. We are working with law enforcement to learn more as this situation develops. We are thankful for the swift actions taken by local officers to keep our family, neighbors, and local community secure.”

Stefanik’s office confirmed in a post on X that she was one of the targets of the incident.

“This morning, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, her husband, and their three-year-old son were driving home to Saratoga County from Washington for Thanksgiving when they were informed of a bomb threat to their residence,” the post stated. “New York State, County law enforcement, and U.S. Capitol Police responded immediately with the highest levels of professionalism. We are incredibly appreciative of the extraordinary dedication of law enforcement officers who keep our communities safe 24/7.”

Rollins, in a post on X, said her “home and family” were threatened.

“This morning, we learned that a threat was issued against our home and family,” she wrote. “Thanks to the swift efforts by the @fortworthpd we were unharmed and quickly returned home. I want to express my deep gratitude to the law-enforcement professionals who did their utmost, in both speed and expertise, to protect us — as they protect our community every single day.”

Hegseth, a former “Fox & Friends Weekend” host, revealed later on Wednesday that he and his family were targeted in a recent bomb threat.

In an X post, Hegseth said that he was approached by authorities about a credible bomb threat earlier that morning.

“This morning, a police officer arrived at our home – where our seven children were still sleeping,” the former Army National Guard officer wrote. “The officer notified my wife and I that they had received a credible pipe bomb threat targeting me and my family.”

Hegseth added that his family is safe, and the threat has since been cleared.

“We want to thank law enforcement for their professionalism and bravery,” Hegseth wrote. “I will not be bullied or intimidated. Never.”

“President Trump has called on me to serve – and that is what I intend to do,” he added.

Trump’s pick for Labor secretary, GOP Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer, as well as his choice to lead the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Scott Turner, posted on social media that they were also targeted.

“Last night, my family and I were targeted with a pipe bomb threat at our Oregon home,” DeRemer posted on X. “Thanks to the quick response of the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, we are safe. We deeply appreciate their dedication to protecting our community.”

“On the eve of Thanksgiving, my home was targeted by a bomb threat, as were the homes of several of my colleagues,” Turner posted on X. “I’m grateful for the swift and professional response from local law enforcement in ensuring everyone’s safety. Nothing will shake my resolve to serve in @realDonaldTrump’s administration and bring much-needed change to @HUDgov.”

Local police officials in Florida also released a statement that a family member of Matt Gaetz, who recently withdrew himself as Trump’s attorney general nominee, received a threat, but it is unclear if there is any connection to the other threats.

“We received notification of a bomb threat referencing former Congressman Matt Gaetz’s supposed mailbox at a home in the Niceville area around 9 a.m. this morning,” the Okaloosa County Sheriffs Office posted on Facebook. “A family member resides at the address but former Congressman Gaetz is NOT a resident. The mailbox however was cleared and no devices were located. The immediate area was also searched with negative results.”

A White House spokesperson said Wednesday in a statement that President Biden has been briefed on the situation.

“The White House is in touch with federal law enforcement and the President-elect’s team, and continues to monitor the situation closely,” the spokesperson said. “Federal law enforcement’s response, alongside state and local authorities, remains ongoing. The President and the Administration unequivocally condemn threats of political violence.”

Incoming Trump border czar Tom Homan spoke with Fox News on “The Story” on Wednesday and said that up until today he had not been taking threats against himself and his family “seriously,” but after the recent developments with other officials being threatened, he now does.

The threats come mere months after Trump survived two assassination attempts.

Just days before accepting the Republican nomination, Trump was shot at a rally on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania. During the event, Trump was displaying a chart highlighting skyrocketing illegal immigration under the Biden-Harris administration. As he turned toward the chart, he was hit by a bullet that pierced the upper part of his right ear by the now-deceased would-be-assassin, Thomas Matthew Crooks. Trump credits the chart for saving his life.

Weeks later, in September, another would-be-assassin hid in the bushes at Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach, Florida. The alleged gunman, Ryan Wesley Routh, had an AK-47-style rifle pointing through the fence toward Trump as the GOP nominee was golfing. Trump was rushed off the golf course by U.S. Secret Service agents unharmed.
